To Deborah Hale

To Deborah Hale:

A husband missed is Deborah’s bane
No longer able to weather the pain
The nights alone too much to bear
Must find a love that’s truly fair

No time to search, no time to find
A man to hold, a man to dine
A Christian girl, or so says she
A husband bought who’d set her free

So put a price on body and home
And tend to the seed you have sown
In a line the bidders have grown
To pay for your love and your home

So sad am I with not the coin
To pay for your house and your loin
No chance for me still your heart
But many others do no doubt

I hope you find your pot of gold
And with your sponsor together grow old
And find inside trust for the man
Who’d pony up and buy your hand.

P.S. Deborah, I’m 42, a software engineer in central California, I think you’re hot, but you’re going about this all wrong.

Mans control of his ecosystem and other fantasies

I read today that 51 percent of the U.S. population believes in creationism over evolution. In the N.Y. Times article, 31 percent believe that creationism should be taught in schools instead of evolution. It is my sincere hope that natural selection catches up with these individuals.

Is the world going into another ice age? Maybe. Is it because I drive a V8 car and consume electricity? I doubt it. The earth is a volitile place. It's in a constant state of change. And I don't mean politically, or technologically, I mean ecologically. If the earth decides to raise the temperature, and generate record hurricanes... all the regulations we can dream up won't stop it. I find it hilarious that the US will fine our companies if they pollute, but another country can burn all the coal they can strip mine, and we'll still buy their products, cause we can't make them cheap enough here. Am I the only one that finds that funny?

Alpha

Hi I'm therealstubot.

I write code

I have a mustang

I have a bird

I don't drink

If I don't fit into your idea of what I should be like, then the problem is yours.

I complain a lot because the world doesn't run the way I think it should.

My complaints do not make me feel better, and only make those around me feel worse.

I love my bird more than I love any human, including my children.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and ideas, regardless of how wrong I feel they might be, which is my opinion and I'm entitled to it as well.
